Every exterior project starts with a thorough inspection. We walk the entire house and check the condition of every surface — siding, trim, fascia, soffits, window frames, and doors. We look for peeling paint, cracked caulk, rotted wood, mildew, and any spots where water might be getting in. You get an honest assessment of what needs repair before any paint goes on.

Prep is everything on an exterior job. We pressure wash the entire house to remove dirt, mildew, chalky old paint, and cobwebs. Loose and peeling paint gets scraped by hand. Rough spots are sanded smooth. Rotted wood gets replaced or filled with epoxy filler. All gaps around windows, doors, and trim get fresh caulk to seal out moisture.

After prep, we prime any bare wood, repaired areas, and problem spots. Primer gives the topcoat something to grab onto and blocks stains from bleeding through. On surfaces in good shape, spot priming is usually enough. On heavily weathered or bare surfaces, we prime everything.

We work with every common siding type. Wood lap siding, cedar shakes, vinyl, brick, stucco, fiber cement (Hardie board), and aluminum all have different requirements. The paint type, application method, and prep all change depending on what your house is made of. We know the differences and adjust accordingly.

For paint, we use Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore exterior products. These paints are formulated to handle UV exposure, temperature swings, rain, and humidity. We select the right sheen and formula for your siding type and your local climate. Flat and satin sheens work well on siding. Semi-gloss goes on trim and doors for durability and a clean look.

Application depends on the surface. We brush trim work and detail areas. We roll or spray large siding surfaces for even coverage and efficiency. Every surface gets two coats minimum. We pay close attention to areas that take the most weather — south-facing walls, trim around windows, and anywhere water runs.

Ladder and scaffold work is part of what we do. Two-story and three-story homes need safe access, and we have the equipment and experience to handle it. You do not need to worry about liability — our crew is fully insured and trained for height work.

Most exterior paint jobs take three to seven days depending on the size of the home, amount of prep, and weather. We need dry conditions and temperatures above 50 degrees for proper paint application and curing. We watch the forecast closely and plan around rain.
